The “love-story” between Ferrari F1 and Michael Schumacher seems to have gotten to a dead end, the with German being sacked from his job as a consultant.
Even after he retired in 2006, Schumacher had an important role in the evolution of the F1 Team, redounding as a consultant for developing of the monoposts and as a council of his younger fellow drivers. According to “AS,” his role in the destiny of the Scuderia for the upcoming seasons have been canceled, the German’s involvement in the F1 Team’s strategy being almost zero in the coming years. Although it seems that there was a break between the two sides, this fact discloses that Schumacher have been given new tasks and that he was not fired.

To be more precisely, Schumy will only handle the street cars development, his motorsport attributions being canceled. Officially, this change was “caused” by Ferrari 458 Italia, a model where Michael brought his contribution seriously. This supercar, can be called almost perfect, Luca DiMontezemolo himself being so pleased with the result as he gave the German a role in the calibration of the future street models.
Even so there are also rumors that Michael Scumacher was to expensive for what he was doing for the Formula 1 Team, apparently earning over $6 million a year, adding that in the last Formula 1 season the results were decent. Anyway what is sure is that in the next season Alonso and Massa will not benefit form the advices given by the world’ all time best driver anymore.
