Windows 8 Release Date Scheduled For 2012, Says Microsoft Netherlands

Microsoft is leaking just like any other company and now we know that the Windows 8 release date is 2012. Well, we don’t know exactly the date, but knowing the year is simply enough for us.

The Windows 8 launch date has been slightly confirmed by Microsoft Netherlands who was simply trying to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Windows 7 which in fact was sold in more than 240 million copies worldwide.

At this moment, the phrase which hinted at the Windows 8 release date, has been removed from the press release as Microsoft Netherlands acknowledged the mistake.

Previously, Microsoft said that Windows 8 will be released at a very late date from now, and we were thinking that the next version of the OS will be released sometime in 2013-2014 timeline because Redmond is very pleased with Windows 7 sales.

That would have been too much, even for Microsoft so here’s to Windows 8 getting released sooner!
