Volkswagen Is World’s Number One Or Not?
Volkswagen-Porsche Auto Group announced that his production reached 4,4 million cars this year, surpassing Toyota Motor Corporation, which announced numbers a little over 4 million pieces, the Thursday’s international news said. The market analysts consider that VW-Porsche is on the first place on the world’s automakers classification only temporary, because Toyota has the ability to produce over 10 million cars annually and it is largely expected to produce over seven million until the end of 2009, said the British publication, The Guardian.
This explains that the success of the company has come thanks to the car park renewal programs voted by the governments of many European countries, but also thanks to the rising popularity of its models.

The German automaker detains brands like Skoda and Seat, but also some luxurious ones like Audi, Bentley, Bugatti and Lamborghini. In Julie, Volkswagen bought Porsche even though everybody thought that things will go other way. It kept all the employees, making no dismissals, and enjoyed success with the new generations of Scirroco, Golf and Polo.
General Motors, which was the world’s largest automaker from 1931 to 2007, dropped on the third positon.
