Jaguar Make A Recall In USA For New XF And XK Models
Jaguar will recall 5,048 units in service for XF and XK models to modify a relay that controls the fuel pump and cause the engine to stop in running.
The English from Jaguar will have to make a recall of 5,048 XF and XK units in United States to fix a problem in the fuel system. The versions equipped with V8 5.0-liter engine have a problem with the fuel pump, which may be interrupted during running or may not function properly at startup. The problem occurs in the relay which controls the gas pump and could cause the engine to stop in running or when the engine is started.

It is possible to the relay that control the petrol pump not always send signals according to the drive control, providing a flow of fuel missed. Following this problem, the engine is not affected – despite the risk of operating with lean mixture – but it may stop at any time with minimal warning or no warning. Subsequently, the wheel could lock in its operation and the driver could be involved in an accident.
The owners of affected cars will be invited at the Jaguar representations to fix the chip and eliminate this problem. The Jaguar XK and XF models are not only affected by the problems in the fuel system level, those in announcing a recall for 6,080 BMW 5 Series and 5 Series GT units.
