We all die to see the production version of Honda’s CR-Z hybrid hatchback at the Tokyo Motor Show. It seems we won’t. All we will see is a concept version of the production car, which we hope will be pretty much like the one we will see in the showrooms in early 2010.

Blue is nice...
Tow years after we first saw it at the Tokyo Motor Show, we’ll have to wait some more and see it on the streets too. Equipped with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, the brand new CR-Z features Honda’s proprietary Integrated Motor Assist technology. The good news is that they decided to spice up a bit the pleasure of driving a hybrid coupe and kept the annoying CVT for their Insight.

Hurray!!! No more CVTs
The name of the new Honda concept clearly makes us think of their early 90’s CRX from which, by the way, CR-Z borrows some of the backside lines. We loved the CRX back then and I see no reason why we won’t like a similar great Honda car.
