Volkswagen is the first automaker which launch an application for the newest Apple product, iPad. The application is free and allows users to take contact more easily with the models from VW range.

Appointed marketing director for several months in the Volkswagen Group, Luca de Meo ticked its first notable success professionally. Thanks to Luca de Meo, VW is the first automaker which launch an application for the newest Apple product, the famous iPad.


Baptized DAS, the abbreviation come from Digital Automotive Space, the Wolfsburg product wants to be a magazine that lets users to play with content, like an iPhone. The application contains information about Volkswagen models and have a view function of them at 360 degrees.

At the end of June, Volkswagen will launch the DAS version for Internet, while providing the opportunity to publish on Facebook the favorite content. Until then, it will be available free on Apple Store.

Luca de Meo said that “this product launch is an important step for the group digital marketing strategy and enable a constructive dialogue with customers.”

It seems that Volkswagen wants to attract many possible customers and make a strong claim, especially for the American customers. Is a good application and the advantage is that, it is free.
