It’s now official and widely known that the new Bentley Mulsanne offers a very healthy 505bhp, but more importantly it has the huge lump of torque we expect from a big Bentley – 752lb/ft. All this comes from the pumpin V8 engine that will power the beast. This luxury car offered by Bentley Motors Limited got it’s name from from Bentley’s famous history, which included five victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans — the Mulsanne Straight being the stretch of the Le Mans racing circuit where cars reach their highest speeds.

To go on sale sometime in mid 2010, the Mulsanne will come in Coupe and convertible variants are expected to follow at some point as replacements for the Arnage-based Brooklands and Azure respectively.
